#PHSfit College of the Day: Hampton University

Right at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, Hampton University continues its tradition as one of the finest HBCU's in the nation.  Many of the admitted students have a GPA of at least 2.5, and ACT of at least 18. Notable alumni include Wanda Sykes and the editor-in-chief of Essence magazine.

#PHSfit College of the day: California University of Pennsylvania

About four hours away in a distant southern suburb of Pittsburgh, you'll find California University of Pennsylvania, a public college just a little larger than Morgan State. Imagine McDaniel College, only three times its size. Cal-U is known for its education programs, as well as liberal arts and sciences. Admission is competitive, making it comparable to Towson University or UMBC.

#PHSfit College of the Day: John Jay College


For many of the students who aspire to study criminal justice, you should consider the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, within the City University system of New York, located three blocks west of Central Park in Manhattan. Admission is competitive, and you are recommended to have three world language credits in high school for consideration. The average high school GPA of their students is in the low B range, and the average ACT score is around 20.
