Dear Colleague,
Greetings from Baltimore and Johns Hopkins University! As you begin to gear up for the coming school year, we wanted to tell you about our annual program for underrepresented students. The Hopkins Overnight Multicultural Experience (H.O.M.E)—our on-campus, overnight experience connecting African American, Latino/Hispanic, Native American, and multiracial high school seniors to the clubs, organizations, and resources that bring together our multicultural community—will take place on September 25-27, 2014.
This is a great opportunity for students to get a first-hand look at what Johns Hopkins is all about, from academics to life outside the classroom, as they spend time on our campus getting to know our current students. Attendees will also have a chance to explore the city of Baltimore, take part in an application workshop, and sit in on classes. The program concludes with our fall Open House on September 27.
Space is limited for H.O.M.E. and an application is required. Students interested in participating should visit apply.jhu.edu/homewood for more information and to apply. Applications and other required materials, including a transcript and SAT/ACT scores (if available), must be received by Friday, September 5, at 5:00 p.m. There is limited travel assistance available for qualified program attendees.
We hope you will share this information with any seniors you think would be a good match for H.O.M.E. If you or your students have any additional questions, please contact us at home.program@jhu.edu. We hope your students will choose to apply for this unique overnight experience at Johns Hopkins!

Sincerely,
H.O.M.E.Team
